About "gluten-free": k-bars contain oats, which have a gluten-like protein. Studies show most people who are sensitive to gluten can consume oats without no difficulty. That said, sufferers of celiac disease need to know k-bars are manufactured in a facility which also processes wheat.
Storage: k-bars are exactly as perishable as a loaf of bread. They can be kept at room temperature for up to a week, and in a refrigerator for up to three months. If you stick them in the freezer, they’ll keep indefinitely (and they freeze soft because of the nut and seed oil).
Usage: Eat your k-bar an hour before your workout, or after for a recovery meal. Also makes an excellent breakfast or afternoon snack.
